Asta received her bachelor in Makeup / hair and special effect design from Dramatiska Institutet in Sweden in 1997. Since then she has worked on numerous films and tv series, local and international projects.
Her film credits include; TOUCH, KONTIKI, THE GOOD HEART, UNDERCURRENT, THE WAVE, THE 12 TH MAN, THE QUAKE, ASHLAD – I SORIA MORIA CASTLE , THREE WISHES FOR CINDERELLA, EVERYBODY HATES JOHAN, NATT, NORTHERN COMFORT, CHRISTMAS ON COBBLER STREET, SEAGULLS LAUGHTER, FALCONS, THE LAST WINTER, ASTROPIA, 101 REYKJAVIK television credits include NORSEMEN, LAZY TOWN, THE CLIFF, DAG, POST MORTEM: INGEN DØR PÅ SKARNES, ONE NIGHT, BEFOREIGNERS, HOME FOR CHRISTMAS,, WELCOME TO UTMARK, AND DESCENDANTS.
Asta´s passion is always to bring the best possible result to the screen, in a creative way and to pay special attention to details. She will look for the possibility to find a unique element to the makeup & hairdesign that is new and innovative. She likes to dig deep into each character’s storyline, to see how she can support the journey visually. She has won numerous awards for both tv shows and film projects, among them the « Amanda «( Norwegian film award ) in 2022 for the film “EVERYBODY HATES JOHANN” .
She is now based in Iceland after 12 years living in Norway, but workes internationally. Her last project was “ KING & CONQUEROR” for BBC with director Baltasar Kormákur
